Answerio — Privacy Policy

1. Data Controller

The data controller is the operator of the Answerio application (hereinafter "we" or "the operator").

2. Data We Collect

• Phone number — to identify the user and route forwarded calls.
• Call recordings — audio recordings and transcripts of calls answered by the assistant on your behalf.
• Assistant settings — description and preferences of your virtual assistant.
• FCM token — to send push notifications about completed calls.

3. Purpose of Processing

• Providing the virtual phone assistant service.
• Recording and transcribing calls for later playback by the user.
• Sending notifications about received calls.
• Improving service quality.

4. Legal Basis

Processing is based on user consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and on the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

5. Third-Party Data Sharing

We use the following providers to deliver the service:

• Twilio — telephony infrastructure and call forwarding.
• ElevenLabs — voice synthesis (text-to-speech).
• Deepgram — speech recognition (speech-to-text).
• Google (Gemini) — generating assistant responses.
• Google (Firebase) — push notifications.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

Call recordings are stored on our servers. Users can delete recordings at any time directly in the app. All data will be deleted upon account cancellation.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Restrict processing
• Data portability
• Withdraw consent

8. Security

Communication between the app and server is encrypted (HTTPS). API access is protected by an API key.

9. Call Recording

Answerio records calls answered by the virtual assistant on behalf of the user. The user is responsible for informing callers about recording in accordance with local laws. We recommend including recording disclosure in the assistant's greeting.
